Creative Lunchbox Notes with Patches
Lunchbox notes get creative with the addition of Patches! Packing lunches for kids is a great opportunity to empower them to be their best selves. Of course the food included matters but so does the extra touch of a note, a message, or in this case….a Patch’em Patch. Select a Patch’em patch (or two) to match with uplifting messages to create a lunch with meaning. And all the patches can all come back home and be ironed (or stitched or glued) to a favorite jacket, backpack or lunchbox.
Supplies you will need:
-
OOLY Patch’Ems Patches (with 16 Different sets to choose from-there is something fun for everyone!)
- Card Stock Paper
- Markers (I used Smooth Hues Markers)
- Tape
- Twine or Ribbon
- Glue
- Mini Bags or Envelopes
- Scissors
First:
Creating your messages on card stock makes them hold up a bit better than plain paper. When you have your sayings ready; cut them out in sizes and shapes to fit on your envelopes. Although my messages were created on the computer you can also handwrite your own.

Second:
Using Smooth Hues Markers, glue the messages to mini bags and decorate with dots/hearts or designs of your choice. And to add a special twist, make twine or ribbon bows; then fix in place with glue.
Third:
Place the patches in the mini bags/envelopes and add them to the lunch boxes.
Won't they be surprised! Lunchbox notes on the first day of school would be a great time to let the kids know you are thinking about them.
Don't Forget Teachers!
